On Saturday, May 20, 2017 the Greenwich Area Historical Society placed this sign near the site of Joseph Washburn’s Grist Mill on the Vermilion River. This is the site of the property described by the first deed recorded by Huron County officials in Greenwich Township of Ohio on October 30, 1817.
Fireman’s Festival Weekend Activities:
Wednesday, June 28, 2017 – Greenwich Area Bicentennial Queen Pageant – 7 PM – SC Middle School Cafeteria.
Thursday, June 29, 2017 – Greenwich Area Bicentennial Celebration: 1817-2017 – Opening Cememony – 5 PM – By the Old School. & Museum
Friday through Sunday, June 30 through July 2, 2017 – Tri Community Fireman’s Festival.
Monday, July 3, 2017 – Greenwich Area Bicentennial Celebration: 1817-2017 – Closing Cememony – 5 PM – By the Old School & Museum.
