Lonnie Gilbert presents a special scratch box Turkey Call with a bit of local history to Chuck Magill the curator of the Greenwich Area Historical Society. Lonnie won the Jeremiah Steven Award for the Best Sounding Scratch Box Callmaker, Best of Class V in the Nashville competition in 2014.
What makes this scratch box turkey call something special is the wood for the box came from the demolition of the Greenwich Seminary Street School. Lonnie was given a pine board from the school by Ed Copsey and Jack Earhart donated a bird’s eye maple board to the cause. Lonnie made this call especially for the Greenwich Area Historical Society.
